The key to fitness success is to find the joy of living in the momentum, and keep that momentum going until your goal number is achieved.
Focus only on the momentum, not on the number on the scale.
Fitness is a way of life. Being lean can become your lifestyle. Neither of which can be had by going about it halfheartedly or with temporary intentions.
You have to "become the momentum". Live every day in that state of being. Use "I AM" statements to program your brain to carry out those actions that will get you where you want to be. Statements like:
"I AM a health minded person."
" I AM a regular exerciser because I care about my health and well-being."
"I AM moving toward my goal of being healthy, strong, fit and lean by making healthier choices."
